
ORDINARY SEAMAN
An Ordinary Seaman (OS) is an entry-level member of the deck department who assists with the day-to-day operation and maintenance of the vessel. Working under the supervision of the Bosun, Able Seamen, and deck officers, an OS helps with cleaning, painting, deck maintenance, mooring operations, cargo activities, and general seamanship duties. This role provides valuable hands-on experience and serves as the first step toward becoming an Able Seaman and progressing further within the maritime industry.
