
2nd Engineer
The Second Engineer is the second-in-command of the engine department and is responsible for the day-to-day operation and maintenance of the vessel's machinery and engineering systems. Reporting directly to the Chief Engineer, the Second Engineer manages planned maintenance schedules, supervises engineering personnel, and ensures that propulsion, power generation, and auxiliary systems operate safely and efficiently. As the senior engineer responsible for the engine room's daily activities, the Second Engineer plays a critical role in keeping the vessel operational and supporting the Chief Engineer in all technical matters.
