CHIEF MATE
The Chief Mate, also known as the Chief Officer, is the second-in-command onboard and the head of the deck department. They are responsible for cargo operations, vessel stability, safety management, deck maintenance, and supervising the deck crew. Working closely with the Master, the Chief Mate plays a critical role in ensuring the safe and efficient operation of the vessel.
