The Electro-Technical Officer (ETO) is a specialist engineering officer responsible for the vessel's electrical, electronic, automation, and control systems. From power generation and distribution to navigation equipment, communication systems, dynamic positioning systems, and automation networks, the ETO ensures that the ship's critical electrical infrastructure operates safely and efficiently. Working closely with both the deck and engine departments, the ETO plays a vital role in maintaining the technology that modern vessels rely on every day.
